Welcome to the web site supporting the nclmwellness initiative.

Worksite Health Promotion programs have achieved widespread acceptance in recent years. The League and RMS began a review and conducted a
Pilot Study to confirm the approach and content for North Carolina municipal agencies. The results of the Pilot Study were compelling and highly supported implementation of the “Statewide NCLM/RMS Wellness Initiative.” Implementation of these programs has been prompted by many factors; including an interest in improving the health of employees, reduced medical costs, reduced workers comp claims and additional employee benefits. It has also been proven that worksite health programs can yield positive changes in employee health behavior and health status. To qualify, League member agencies must participate in the medical and/or workers compensation insurance programs. Agencies in both pools pay NOTHING per participating employee and agencies in just one pool pay $150.00 per participating employee. You may review the comprehensive services provided for participating agencies under
Program Benefits.
